Ivy Lane School

Lewis Class

This term, Year 6 have learnt about music from around the world. We performed Hawaiian music to the whole school as part of the end of term musical assembly. We continued with the musical theme using Pop Art to inspire us and used music to express emotion through paint.

During writing sessions Year 6 presented a scientific enquiry looking at how exercise affected our pulse rate. Furthermore, we were shocked by a fake letter that would have banned the use of electronic devices until after SATS but luckily it came from Mr Prosser and Mr MacMahon who used it to inspire our writing instead of actually sending it home to parents.

The changing sessions and arrival of spring has presented an improvement in the weather, meaning we can have time to relax on the trim trail after learning about such things as active and passive voice - this has been part of our revision this academic year. There is a lot of improvement going on within our year group and with all the hard work we’re ready for our Easter break.
