New Build for EYFS and Year 1
We are very excited that our new build to replace the Pratten Classroom block that housed Early Years and lower Key Stage, is now complete!
A successful application was made in the 2020/21 CIF round. The Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) is an annual bidding round for eligible academies, sixth-form colleges and VA schools to apply for capital funding. The priority for the fund is to address significant condition need, keeping education provider buildings safe and in good working order. This includes funding projects to address health and safety issues, building compliance and poor building condition.
TG Escapes, provided a fully inclusive service from groundworks to handover. The speedy modular construction process resulted in the £1million, 465m2 bespoke building, ready to be used within 20 weeks once works had commenced.
The new building will has 5 classroom spaces with toilets accommodates a nursery, Reception and Year 1 children. There is also a moveable partition for flexible space in the Reception Unit, office space and reception area. It also features a covered walkway for outdoor learning and multiple access points to the outdoors.
The demolition of the old Pratten building was carried out during October half-term and the groundworks commenced at the end of November, with completion at the end of April 2021.
