Ivy Lane School

Pastoral Support

Mrs Rebecca Adams
Pastoral Manager

At Ivy Lane School we are lucky to be able to call on the services of our own Pastoral Manager. Mrs Adams is based in the school all day 8.30am - 3pm Mondays to Fridays. She is on the school gate nearly every morning between 8:30am and 8:40am, available to parents for general chats, or if more privavcy is required, there is a room available indoors.

Our Pastoral Manager is here to offer support for your children with any worries or anxieties they may be experiencing, but can also offer parents confidential support with issues they may feel are affecting their children. She is also able to signpost families to a wide variety of services including parenting groups, the school nurse, grief counselling and other voluntary agencies.

Mrs Adams helps reinforce the nurturing and supportive environment that we provide at Ivy Lane School. She is trained as a Thrive Practitioner which is a role that supports mental health and wellbeing, and can help break down the social and emotional barriers that some children may encounter to learning. She is trained in basic counselling skills, so is able to offer our children someone to talk to when they have worries or concerns. We also provide Time To Talk counselling which is with a trained counsellor arranged by Mrs Adams.

Please feel free to contact Mrs Adams on 01249 652556 or email if you feel she could support your child or your family.
