At Ivy Lane School we are lucky to be able to call on the services of our own Pastoral Manager. Mrs Tottle is based in the school all day on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 8.30am - 1pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and can be contacted via the school office. She is on the school gate nearly every morning between 8:30am and 8:40am, available to parents for general chats, or if more privavcy is required, there is a room available indoors.
Our Pastoral Manager is here to offer support for your children with any worries or anxieties they may be experiencing, but can also offer parents confidential support with issues they may feel are affecting their children. She is also able to signpost families to a wide variety of services including parenting groups, the school nurse, grief counselling and other voluntary agencies.
Mrs Tottle helps reinforce the nurturing and supportive environment that we provide at Ivy Lane School. She is trained as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Advisor) which is a role that helps break down the social and emotional barriers that some children may encounter to learning. She is trained in basic counselling skills, so is able to offer our children someone to talk to when they have worries or concerns. We also provide Time To Talk counselling which is with a trained counsellor. arranged by Mrs Tottle.
Please feel free to contact Mrs Tottle if you feel she could support your child or your family.
